Visionary

I have to admit that even I might start to question whether my mother's, Ellen Greene's, '64 statement was visionary, which I have long conceived it to be, if things don't start turning around electorally for me this year, because I'm a little past my prime, now, but something mysterious is going on, something so evident yet unknown that I can practically touch it, but of course it is only what I sense.  However, I think things are starting to coalesce in a way which could lead to a triumphant 3rd party congressional victory for me this year -- to the shock of the nation.  Even my food labeling initiatives being taken to court by opponents might lead to a crescendo of events, along with the possibility of a bright light finally being shone on the stolen congressional election of '04, and the national disgruntlement with Congress, that may bring about one of the biggest upsets in the history of U.S. elections.  Thank God for Ellen's great vision in many aspects throughout the last 2/3 of the 20th century and the turn of the millennium.

Mark Greene for Director of Elections (King County) - 2015

Exploratory Campaign

The Commons Party: Washington state's number one alternative party: progress, tradition, ecology. Reform-minded, advocating a lower voting age & a non-interventionist foreign policy.

Support Mark Greene for King Co. Director of Elections for competent and honest election administration (general: Nov., 2015).  Mark Greene seeks to reform King County elections through predominately hand counts, and when machines are used, having hand recounts in randomly selected precincts to verify the optical scanning machine count and buying voting equipment from reputable American companies only.  Mark also seeks to make it easier for candidates of all stripes to run for election.

Our proposal on proportional representation is based solely on voting numbers and nothing else. We would like to see that any candidate for the state legislature who does not win an election, but gets at least 5% of the vote in a primary or general election would be able to sit in an advisory council, in which the chairman & the deputy chairman of the council would get full seats in the legislature (the chairman in the state senate and the deputy chairman in the state house of representatives). This would of course require a constitutional amendment in all the various state constitutions. We also propose a similar advisory council on the federal level, with the chairpersons taking their seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives, respectively, and the requisite amendment to the federal constitution. Local councils could set up their advisory councils based on a similar format as well.

Volunteer petitioners and contributions are needed at this time for party purposes & Mark's Director of Elections campaign: brandnewelections.us.  P.O. Box 612, Bellevue, WA 98009

Note:  Mark Greene will not run for this office if he is elected U.S. Representative (WA/9th CD) in 2014.
